Christmas Eve Basket!

Hi everyone!

We decided to create a new tradition this year by putting together a "Christmas Eve Basket" for our little guy. When our kids were small, this special night was a time for all of us to relax and spend time with just our little family, before having others join us on the big day. A time to just be us. For our kids, it meant either time to go to Christmas Mass or stay home, often dependent on the weather. And before bed, time to open new pyjamas and one small gift each. We wanted to do something a bit different for B as he is now the only little one in the house. I came across the idea of a basket from another blog and that became our mission in the weeks before Christmas to get it filled. We had so much fun, he loved it, his mama approved and we already have plans for next year's Christmas Eve basket.

Mama and son waiting for "the surprise!"

A basket of treats and surprises.

And a bedtime book.

Mickey Mouse treats!

Such concentration.

I love mama's expression!

A very happy boy!

The plate he made at school.

Perfect for Santa's treats.

Reading mama his new book.

After he had put out the "reindeer food" and then put on his new jammies, it was time to make Santa's plate, with home made cookies and milk. We put his Letter to Santa out and then it was time for bed. He fell asleep in minutes and then it was our turn to be busy, setting out the Santa gifts, filling the stockings and eating Santa's cookies .... oops, did I just spill the beans? Then it was off to bed for all of us!

What does your Christmas Eve look like?
